Dylan's new adventure
Several months ago Dylan started asking when he could do martial arts. I wasn't ready for the commitment and wasn't confident in how he would handle that situation for many reasons. Well, he didn't let up so we finally decided to give it a whirl. Well, the 1st trial class was what I would call an "epic fail!" And I was prepared to throw in the towel and try again sometime down the road. I was "convinced" to try it again...and I am so glad that I did! He LOVES it and is doing great!!
Warm-ups are pretty darn funny to watch!
(Clearly I need to figure out how to use the "action" mode on my camera now!)
Working on "basics" with Mr Dean.
I did a few videos at his last class....I thought they would be fun to have so we can look back as he progresses and figures things out more!!
He LOVES doing the obstacle courses now!! (Not so much at our "epic fail" class!)
And grappling (I think!)
He's so excited to go on Monday and Wednesdays....I hope that it continues!!
I was just telling Jason a couple days ago that I needed to figure out how to count from 1-10 in Korean since Dylan kept asking......well, today he started counting in Korean, on his own, and was thrilled! I noticed after he did it a couple of times that he was missing a number though....he got 9 numbers down right, but was missed 10!
The Great Wolf
Since Dylan is our little fish, we decided it would be fun to go to the Dells to celebrate is birthday and we were SPOT ON! He LOVED it. There was only one water slide that he wasn't quite tall enough to go down and let me tell you, the boy hit them all, more than once and had NO fear at all! It was so fun to watch him LOVE every minute! It was fun to see how confident he really is in the water!
The girls had a great time too! Kira tried one small waterslide and that was enough for her but we were proud of her for trying it!! Eva went down a couple of the small ones but was more interested in just splashing around and hanging out!
Both sets of grandparents were able to join us which made for a really fun weekend! The kids loved it!

After really thinking about it and wanting to do but not wanting to do it....Eva went down the slide!

Dylan wanted green shoes.....
He really, really wanted green shoes.
Target didn't have green shoes.
Wal-Mart didn't have green shoes.
Payless didn't have green shoes...well, the one pair we found didn't work with his ankle braces.
We didn't need "all green" shoes! We just "needed" shoes with some green because after all, green is his favorite color you know.
Shop-Ko didn't have green shoes.
Things were starting to get a little ugly.
Then I saw them....a possible possibility......
Dylan was thrilled! Crisis averted!
Aren't they great? :-/
Mommy kept the white laces for family pictures! :-)

Swimming lessons.....
Dylan and Eva are both still doing swimming lessons. Dylan LOVES it and can't wait to go. Eva LIKES it but still has one or two crying/whining/I want Mommy episodes at each lesson. She does good though.

Dylan absolutely cracks us up when he jumps in...no fear at all, that's for sure!
