PRESENTS! (Bday party, part #5)

It's safe to say that after Christmas Eva has this whole presents thing down....and she hasn't forgotten! :-)  She was really excited!!

 

Facepainting is great! (Bday party, part #4)

Kira was REALLY excited about getting to have facepainting done at the girls party!  I was surprised when Dylan even wanted it done and so did Eva!!

Cake time (Bday party, part #3)

Kira was really excited about her chocolate cupcakes with cake pops on top!  She picked pink and purple for the colors....shocker!  I was happy that Bean Sprouts Cafe was able to accomodate Eva and another buddys food allergies and make cupcakes for them too!!!

 The pictures of Eva just don't do the pouty 2 year old face that she was making while we were singing happy birthday to her.....it was one of the funniest things I have seen in awhile!

So much to do! (Bday party, part 2)

We've been to the Children's Museum several times now and I can safely say that there is NO way you could ever get bored going there!  The kids have quickly found their favorite areas and of course, it's not the same areas so a solo trip with all 3 is out of the question! :-)

Eva kept wanting to crawl up and look out this window but once she would get up on the bench, she wasn't happy!  I wonder if she doesn't like heights???

The birthday girls!! (part 1)

The pictures from the girls birthday party celebrate will come in bits and pieces!  LOTS of great pictures to share!

As I mentioned, we had the party at the Madison Children's Museum!  GREAT place for kids to have lots to do and all I had to do was show up!  No cooking or cleaning!!!......Downfall is that other than the time you spend in the party room, you really don't get to chat with guests.

 Kira was so excited by this point that she could hardly contain herself!

My Kira is a trooper!

 

She had her appointment with the ENT this week and had to have a camera test done.....up her nose and down to look at her adenoids.  Going in to the appointment I really didn't think that there was ANY way we were going to get this test done but shocker of shocks......she let them do it.  She wasn't happy and it wasn't without tears but we got the test done.

And the test showed that her adenoids are HUGE.  There is very little space for her to swallow ANYTHING and it's also most likely what is causing her snoring, bad sleep, gagging, etc.  So the adenoids need to come out.  They couldn't see her tonsils and didn't want to push her on the test.  Her dr will look at her tonsils when he's in there and make the call then.

So she is scheduled for February 9th.  It wasn't an emergency but they also didn't want to wait too long since her breathing is somewhat affected.

I feel awful that she has to go through one more thing but hopefully this will make her feel better.  I just realized today that she will have to miss her field trip at school, the Valentines party and maybe the 100th day of school celebration.  Boo.

For now, I'm trying to not think about it because we are going to party this weekend at the Children's Museum to celebrate Kira and Eva's birthday!  (Eva turns 2 on Feb. 23!)

She loved it!

Eva's PT is just as perplexed as the rest of us about why Eva won't walk anymore.  The knee walking is cute but she's almost 2......

Anyway, Heidi has a kid treadmill that we had tried with Eva a couple of times before but she wanted NOTHING to do with it.  She decided to bring it again this week and Eva honestly hopped on it before Heidi was even in the door.  She sat it down  when she stepped in the door and Eva was on it before we knew it.



Heidi was nice enough to leave it for us to use and Eva goes nuts when I bring it out!  I have it in J and my room because she can't just hop on and do it herself!  Supervision required!!

Time for a haircut!

Eema has trimmed Eva's hair several times and I've done her bangs but I decided it was time for a haircut today. The back was uneven and her bangs were in her eyes.

She did great.  Just sat there chatting, singing and smiling.

Any chance she could do that when I take her for her 2 year pictures???
