It was FINALLY Eva's turn!

Eva has been none to happy about Kira and Dylan's getting to go to "kool" and her getting let behind.  She was REALLY excited when it was FINALLY her turn to go to "kool" on Wednesday with Mommy.  She was really excited but kept stressing "you stay with me Mommy, okay?"

She had a GREAT time!  It was fun for both of us. 

I'm not real sure when she turned into a toddler........



My 4K'er!....1st day of school!

Dylan could not wait to start school this year! He's been excited for weeks now "cuz I'm in 4K now Mom!" He could have gone to kindergarten this year but given the option of waiting a year with his late August birthday, we decided this was the best option for him. He gets to stay at MGNS again this year and knows a few of the kids in his class too. He has one of the teachers that he's had for the last 2 years and that's a HUGE bonus.....she's the best! (Love you Diana!!!!!)  I was Parent Helper for the 1st day and that was a great time!.....other than the heat!

Well, another school year is off and running......and so far, so good.

Kira was pretty nervous about starting school but the nerves were mixed with excitement too. She really wanted to be excited. She was happy to see that her buddy, Austin was in her class again this year. Her OT has said more than once that Austin and Kira really were good friends for each other.

The nerves were REALLY hitting right about now.......

 Right after I took this picture, she started crying when the bell rang.  She got her hug and I left.....her wonderful OT emailed me later and let me know that she only cried about 2 minutes and that was it!  THIS IS PROGRESS!!  I was so relieved.  Her teacher is Mr. Hegge (blue striped shirt).  She seems to really like him.

So we're 2 days down and the only crying she's had is the couple of minutes on the 1st day.  She was sooooo excited to come out Friday and tell me that she'd had a great day with no crying.  I realize for some, it may sound strange to be this excited over a 2nd grader not crying at school but for Kira it is.  And we are so proud of her.

So far, I feel better about the arrangements with aides and the special education teacher as well.  Kira told me that she really likes the Mrs. G (special ed teacher) because "she talks nice to her."  That says so much about what went on last year just not being okay.  It seems like the aide schedule will be much more consistant as well which will be helpful to Kira too.

Can you tell that I'm feeling relieved already, after only 2 days of school?



DADDY!

Jason recently spent 5 days in California for a martial arts event.  We rarely go in the airport when he gets back....usually it's a timing thing so the kids were really excited to get to go in to meet him this time.

Eva's new bracelet

I've been saying for quite awhile that I needed to get a medical/allergy alert bracelet for Miss Eva.  I was just having a hard time finding one that I thought she would wear and that fit her.  I finally found one and she hasn't asked to have it off since we got it!!  Whew.

The only problem that I have with it is that I need atleast one more hole on it to have all her allergies identified!  Since I took this picture, we had to add bee stings to her allergy list......I took sesame off and added the bee one.  I guess if her testing this fall shows anymore, we'll have to get her a second bracelet!  Thank goodness she likes it! 



Dylan's birthday.....(better late than never!)

I already posted that we went to The Great Wolf to celebrate Dylan's birthday but of course, there was a mini party on his actual birthday!  He was really excited to get more presents (duh) and was excited that his cake was EXACTLY how he told me he wanted it!  (Keep that in mind when you see the pictures!)

Shocker.....another car!  It was definitely a Cars birthday this year!

This is what he wanted.......brown and white cake (AKA marble), brown frosting with green sprinkles, 5 cars "because he's 5, you know" and 5 green candles!!

Bashful while we sang Happy Birthday!!

He still says that this was his best birthday ever!  I'm glad he had so much fun!

We have got to figure these hives out even though I know we probably won't!!

These 2 are from earlier this week.,.......atleast she's still smiling, right!

And this is right now.....Friday night. :-(  Hundreds of hives!

Yes, all the redness is hives. :-(

Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth
