Eva's birthday!

It's official!  My baby is three!  I can hardly believe it but it's true!

Friday night we went to Pedro's at her request for dinner.  Let me tell you...that girl can put away salsa!  Unfortunately our dinner was cut short when Dylan got sick....and yes, I mean SICK.

Eva was very excited to get home and open presents...amazing how quickly they figure the whole present thing out!!

She was very excited about her new dress because you know that wearing dresses makes you a princess, right?  She also got the Fisher Price iXL video system and a Dora game to go with that.  She's really enjoying it!  She LOVES to listen to the stories that are on it and do the coloring section.  After she went to bed, I got it set up for her and added some pictures of herself along with Kira and Dylan!  She was sooo excited when she saw them the next morning!  There's definitely a lot thing that are hard for her yet but I'm glad because hopefully it mean that as she grow and figures things out, she'll find new things to do on it!



It's all in a days work...

"Come on baby Lily.  It's time to go to the grocery store....."

"What?  You're hungry?  Okay...here's your bottle.  We're almost done."

"Now it's time to take a nap.  Let's rock and I'll sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to you."

"Now it's time to cook for my friends."

"More friends want a carrot."

"This is fun!"

"Bro, you cook yourself.  I'm done."

Nope!  It's a snowman martian, of course!

Dylan was so proud of this when he brought it home! Love it!

Kira was so excited when she opened this present...and it's kept her entertained for HOURS since she got it...a house she could color.  It's now her reading house! (pics below)

The kids were all excited to have Grandma and Grandpa VK here for the weekend.  We had fun eating the girls birthday dinner at Pedro's...one of the few restaurants that Eva can eat at.  Kira had an ice-cream cake too and for some reason, I got no pictures of it!  She was very excited!!

I still can't believe that Eva is almost 3.....

A fun morning.....and it wore them out!

We headed to Madtown Twisters for a PT session for Eva.  We hadn't been there for their open gyms and honestly, I was pretty nervous about how Dylan would do.  There kinds of settings are sometimes an invitation for disaster with him......luckily he did GREAT!  And he had a great time.  Eva loved it too.....

The had a bounce house/obstacle course that Eva did once but refused to again....it was pretty big and a lot for her to handle!

"I jumping!  I jumping!"  It wasn't too long before she was jumping in the middle which shocked Miss Heidi and Mom!

Dylan loved jumping into the foam blocks.  It took a lot of work for him to get out but he loved it!  (There's a video at the end!)

D-man got completely freaked out the 1st time he went through this at the end by the HUGE fan that keeps it inflated!  Once we worked through that, he kept going over and over again!  Whew!

This obstacle course was more Eva's speed..... :-)

Tried the rock wall but got frustrated and we moved on!  Hard with no shoes on for sure!

Balance beams were fun for both kids and once thing we are working on with Eva is getting her to look at her feet when she's walking on a balance beam, stepping up, etc so this was great for her.  Dylan liked them too.

It's crazy to think that Eva only has one more sessions with Miss Heidi since when she turns 3 she won't be in Birth-3 anymore.  We've, and yes, I said, WE'VE, loved our sessions with her.  Eva absolutely adores her and gets so excited to see her.  We haven't had the best luck with PT's through Birth-3 for our kids but Miss Heidi has been awesome!  We are all going to miss seeing her on regular basis!

Just another day......
