Somedays ya just gotta laugh....

Really!  There are some days if you just don't laugh, you might cry or completely fall apart....today was one of those days.  Just a chain of events that make me think it's a good thing no one was checking my blood pressure today! :-)

Eva has been sleeping TERRIBLE again lately...up every 45 minutes or so, screaming and crying...not normal stuff but I don't know what to do about it either.  Anyway, I got the kids off to school with everyone in a great mood.  Eva and I came home to cuddle for a bit before her therapist showed up.  She had a great session even though she was clearly tired...it really helps that she loves Heidi.  Heidi is pretty convinced that it won't be too long before we need to look into braces for Eva's ankles...shocking, I know.  We finished up her session and I needed to run to the store to get stuff for Kira to take for her snack at school tomorrow.  As I was finishing up, her aid called and I could hear Kira screaming in the background.  They weren't sure what was wrong but she was clearly upset.  She kept saying her tummy hurt which led us to believe that she probably needed to go potty but didn't want to at school...go figure.  After talking for a few minutes we decided that maybe if I came to school, she would relax and things would be okay.  I knew that I couldn't let her think she could come home everytime she felt like this when she's clearly not sick.  So, off to school Eva and I go as I'm calling Jason to tell him that he needs to pick up Dylan.
I really didn't make any progress with Kira and her teacher I finally decided that she was fine to stay at school and I needed to just leave. And in the middle of all this, Eva gagged herself and threw up all over me.  Nice. Yep, Kira was screaming and as soon as I turned around, I was crying too.  I came home, unloaded groceries and started lunch.  Then my phone rang, it was Jason...he had gotten distracted at work and lost track of time.....yep, Dylan was still at school.  I was closer than he was so I took a screaming Eva out of her highchair and out the door we went.  I got her in the car, called the preschool to apologize and tell them I was coming.  Luckily, they were understanding and I'm pretty sure Dylan was loving having all their attention.
I got to preschool and went to get Eva out of the car and realized I NEVER BUCKLED HER IN!  Crap, there goes mother of the year now!  Bad Mommy!  I know exactly what happened too....I put her in dropped my keys, picked them up, dropped my sunglasses, and when I went to pick them up, I accidently hit the door button and as it closed I walked around the car and took off!  YIKES!

Needless to say it's been a day!  Still don't really know what was up with Kira.  She knew they were having a tornado drill today so I have to wonder if that had her worked up.  She had a couple other rough patches throughout the day but seems fine now.....(picture me throwing my hands up, shaking my head and laughing....)

Hopefully tomorrow will be boring....... :-)
